  • Is it any good?

  • If you own a computer, tablet or mobile phone, but don't really know how to use it, Trudy's courses are perfect for you! Trudy will help you make sense of everything you don't understand – from apps, to 'the cloud' and iPhoto to FaceTime or Skype – no question is too big or too small.  Even if you're simply wondering 'how to turn the damn thing on', Trudy can help; all from the comfort of your kitchen table with a slice of cake and cup of coffee in hand.
  • Trudy Ritsema worked in tech support for the RNLI before having children and deciding to go out on her own. She studied lifelong learning at Kingston Maurward College, and eventually became an ECDL (European Computer Driving License) teacher. She loves teaching, and takes great enjoyment in turning anxious computer users into tech wizards in just a few short hours. Whether it’s enabling people to stay in touch with their grandchildren abroad, or showing business owners how to get set up on social media, Trudy is a big fan of #kitchentable learning and ensures that all her students leave feeling empowered.

The Details

Is this suitable for everyone?

If you're based in (or near) Dorchester, and you'd like to know how to make the most of your computer and/or devices, then this course is for you!

Where does it take place?

Trudy runs these courses in and around Dorchester, and will come to a location of your choosing, so long as it's within a 20 mile radius of Dorchester town centre.

How long does it last?

2 hours

What should I bring?

Bring whatever device you have and Trudy will show you how to get the most out of it. She's an Apple guru first and foremost, but will be able to assist with any piece of tech you have.

How many people per class?

This course works best in groups, with a maximum group size of 4. The price of £100 is for the entire group, not per person, so it makes sense to invite three friends and split the cost

Anything else I should know?

In order to make the most of this session, think of the things that you'd most like to be able to do with your computer beforehand.
